If you're sensitive to pet allergens, this may not be the best fit, as the home does host dogs between deep cleanings. Small dogs may be able to fit through the 4" gaps used for winter snow removal around the deck. There are sometimes renters on the other side of the duplex, but that depends on the time of year and occupancy changes. The home is adjacent to Highway 135. There is a new bus stop just south of the home that goes to Mt. Crested Butte. House is limited to two pets per booking. Additional pets may be able to stay for additional costs, just note the number of pets in reservation requests so options can be discussed. Normal charge is $50/pet per night for a short booking. Enjoy the recent updates! ❄️ Winter Guidance & Safety Crested Butte winters are magical, but heavy snowfall means flexibility and preparation matter. A few things worth knowing before you book: mountain passes (like Monarch Pass) and flights can be delayed during storms, so build in flexibility. Our plowing crew clears the driveway after every storm, but timing can vary — you may occasionally need to shovel around your car or shuffle vehicles while they work, and the deck may stay snow-covered for a few days after a big storm. Roof snow sheds naturally, so watch overhead near the house. The yard fence can be snowed under enough for pets to walk over it in deep winter, so keep an eye on them, and please don't attempt the steep embankment below the property — it's avalanche terrain and off-limits year-round. None of this is unusual for a mountain property, just good to know going in — and it's part of what makes a Crested Butte winter unforgettable.
